Tuna Burgers For Two
Ingredients
Serves 2
1 (5 oz / 140 gr) can solid white tuna (I used Wild Planet)
¼ cup breadcrumbs (I used Aleia's Gluten Free Panko Crumbs)
1 large egg, lightly beaten
¼ cup finely chopped red onion
½ cup finely chopped celery
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce (adjust to taste)
1 garlic clove, minced
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Your fave buns (I used sesame seed gluten-free buns)
Your fave toppings
Directions
Set your oven to its broil setting and let it heat up. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine tuna, breadcrumbs, and egg.
Add onion, celery, lemon juice, mustard, Tabasco sauce, garlic, ground black pepper, and mix to combine.
Form the mixture into 2 patties, about ½-inch thick.
Place the patties on the baking sheet and broil on each side for 5 to 6 minutes, or until nice and golden (cooking time depends on how powerful the broiler is, so make sure to keep an eye on them!)
Serve tuna burgers with your favorite toppings (I served mine with a slash of mayo, tomato, and lettuce on GF sesame buns.)
Enjoy!
