2013 Softball

The 2013 Minooka softball team was the first girls team to win an IHSA state championship.  In the sectional semifinal game, down 13-4 , Minooka began to rally and eventually came back to beat Lockport 15-14. Two weeks later Minooka won the state championship by the 10-run rule after Rachel May’s walk-off 3-run homer. In that game, Minooka set three records: most runs (14) scored for a state championship game, most hits (19) in a state championship game, and most home runs (3) in a state championship game.
