West Aurora and Yorkville joined the Southwest Prairie Conference for this season, but Minooka never had a chance to compete against them in a conference meet. During the off-season, a new track was installed with the finish line moving from the northeast corner of the track to the southwest corner. An artificial turfed field was put in the infield. Unfortunately, no meet would be held on that track in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The girls were able to have eight weeks of practice with four meets. On the morning of Friday, March 13, their indoor invitational at Plainfield South was cancelled. Later that day, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker ordered schools closed for two weeks because of the coronavirus pandemic. The order was then extended before later declaring school buildings would remain closed for the rest of the academic school year. On April 21, the IHSA officially cancelled all spring sports tournaments.
