SPC Record: 10-4
Final Game: Loss in 4A Regional Finals
Season Summary
The 2024-25 varsity girls basketball team set numerous records on their way to a successful season.
After a slow start to the year where they began 2-6, the team quickly took off. New head coach John Placher's team found chemistry and went on a team in the new year. They only lost three games during second semester.
Junior Madelyn Kiper was the standout, scoring her 1,000th point in a win over Joliet West on Jan. 16. Kiper hit 9 three-pointers and scored 41 points in that game. Both were school records.
The team also put up some school records with the most points ever by a Minooka girls team (1,733) in a season, and the most three-pointers (66) in a season.
In the regional, they easily beat Bradley-Bourbonnais in the first game, and then lost a close one to Pekin the regional final.
