The 1972 baseball team competed in the Coal Valley Conference. The lost to Joliet West in the IHSA District Tournament. Following the district tournament, they continued to play regular season games. Jerry Banks received the Robert Rushton Memorial Award, and Ken Falkenberg got the Dave Dorick Award.
