2018 Boys Soccer

The members of the 2018 boys soccer team include (front row) Mariano Kotrba, Nick Beasley, Niko Vercelote, Blake Brandenburg, Brandon Pech, Ryan Felgenhauer; (second row) Ben Joder, Manny Campuzano, Alex Richter, Gino Capecci, William Maurice, Frank Thompson, Dakota Nelson, Tyler Ruzecki, Isaac Westerhoff; (third row) Austin Sarcletti, Chase Kalafut, Carson Heglund, Izaak Avalos, Conor Waldron, and PJ Ward.

In the 2018 fall season, the Minooka boys varsity soccer team had an exceptional year. Throughout the games, the boys had a few major wins against Joliet West 1-0 and Oswego East 2-1. The boys also participated in the PepsiCo Showdown, a tournament showcasing the players talent that also allows them to play against teams they normally would not. The team played won against St. Patrick and Lane Tech, but fell short against Solorio and Addison Trail. By the end of the season, the boys had won a regional championship, but lost 1-0 against Normal Community for the sectional title. The team finished third in the Southwest Prairie Conference. All-conference players included Blake Brandenburg and Frank Thompson.
