Final Match: Eli Chavez and Evan Lundeen (doubles) lost 2 matches at the IHSA 2A State Finals
Season Summary
The 2025 girls tennis team had a slow start to the year, losing their first seven matches, but they picked up steam and had a strong second half. At one point, they won 4 out of 5 matches in late April and early May.
The team won the Minooka Quad on April 12 and eventually finished 5th in the SPC Championship. Evan Lundeen and Eli Chavez were all-conference double partners by placing 2nd in doubles.
Lundeen and Chavez won two matches in double at sectionals before dropping one to Lincoln-Way East. They battled back in the third-place bracket to beat Homewood-Flossmoor and qualify for the state finals.
At state, Lundeen and Chavez lost their first two matches.
As a team Minooka would finish 5th at the SPC Championship at 2nd at the IHSA 2A Sectional hosted by Lincoln-Way East.
