1977-78 Boys Basketball

Members of the 1977-78 varsity basketball team include (bottom row) T. Heimer, J. Zelko, head coach Wayne Greenbeck, W. Mills; (top row) S. Welhelmi, J. Dempsey, M. Underhill, T. Amos, G. Mason, S. Jebens, D. Daly, D. Hunckler, C. Kovel, B. Mathesius, T. Feeney, M. Bretsch, G. Severson. 

Overall Record: 5-18

The 1977-78 varsity boys basketbal team would go on to have a couple wins and a lot of losses. They had a game where it was close against Yorkville, beating them 64-54. Minookaalso beat Coal City by a good margin, 71-57. Mark Underhill was given the sportsmanship award, Chi Kovel was awarded the Most Valuable Player award, and Greg Mason got the Most Improved Player award.
