Summary
Reed Perry won the IHSA 1A state championship at 155 pounds in wrestling during his senior year. He finished the year with a record of 34-2 and earning all-conference honors. He also qualified for state his junior year, when he compiled a record of 23-6. He competed in wrestling, football, and track & field all four years. In track he held the school record in the 100-yard dash (10.4 seconds) and 440-yard dash (52.9 seconds). After high school, Perry wrestled for two years at Western Michigan University before injuring his ankle.
