Although the 2009 varsity baseball team had a strong regular season, which included winning the WJOL Tournament, they lost a tough game to Bradley-Bourbonnais in their first game of the IHSA 4A Regional. Junior Mike Foltynewicz would later become a major league pitcher for the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves.
