As the season started out as a loss to JCA, the 2006-2007 varsity girls volleyball team needed to bounce back from it in order to play better during the season. The team showed hard work after the loss with practices for 2 hours a day to try and improve on the court. They showed improvement the next game, beating Plainfield Central 2-1. But they unfortunately went on a 10-game losing streak and tried to bounce back. But with four sophomores being moved to varsity, team bonding was a big role to fill and the team couldn’t quite find it. The team might have not had the best season, but there was still energy when players were running through the hallways cheering before games. For individual athletes, Lauren Ruther was selected to the all-conference team for Minooka.
