The members of the 2024-25 girls wrestling team include Alaina Austin, Luci Belmont, Gianna Boudonck, Palmer Calvey, Candice Cameron, Beth Castro, Sabina Charlebois, Jocelyn Costilla, Holli Coughlen, Addison Davis, Maya Decker, Anastasia Dewey, Therese Escano, Keighera Fleming, Keziah Gaston, Olivia Gaudio, Kailey Jefferson, Lexie Lakota, Amelia Lemberg, Yanelli Magana, Maggie Metke, Angela Morales, Marian Nordsell, Ezra Rodriguez, Lillian Rouskey, Morgan Skwarczynski, Aubry Smith, Ryann Spivey, Abigail Underhill, Izzy White, Melody Williams, assistant coach Jon Calder, assistant coach Jeff Charlebois, assistand coach Ryan Lember, assistant coach Gabby Charlebois, and head coach Paige Schoolman.
Season Summary
The Minooka girls wrestling team qualified five athletes for the IHSA sectional during the 2024-25 school year.
Sabina Charlebois, Ezra Rodriguez, Palmer Calvey, Marian Nordsell, and Mia Lemberg all advanced out the regional and competed in the Geneseo sectional. While none advanced to the individual state finals, they did help the team have much success.
The team won the SPC Championship and finished 2nd in the Metamora regional. In the inaugural IWCOA dual state tournament held over winter break, Minooka finished 7th.
Calvey, a senior, tallied 30 wins on the season and 60 wins overall in her career. She was the only girl to compete in the girls wrestling program its first four years of existence.
Rodriguez made a good impact on the team, also achieving 30 wins.
