SPC Record: 8-8
Final Game: Loss in 4A Regional Finals
Season Summary
The 2024-25 varsity boys basketball team made a run to the regional championship.
Minooka won 18 games for only the 5th time since 1977. The final victory came in the regional semifinals against Bradley-Bourbonnais, who had beaten Minooka earlier in the year.
To start the season, the team finished 3rd in the WJOL tournament. They played mostly .500 ball until the new year. In January and February they went 11-5.
Minooka featured plenty of key players and that led them to a solid season.
Junior Zane Caves broke two school records this year (steals in a game, rebounds in a game).
The team had a couple heartbreaking losses throughout the year, including one against conference champion Bolingbrook. However, one of the biggest wins of the year came against Joliet West on Jan. 17.
