Season Summary
The 2025 boys varsity cross country team had an up and down season.
They had six meets where they placed top five and four meets outside of the top five. They finished second at the Minooka Flight Invitational. Junior Cayson Traxler was fourth in Flight 6, sophomore Ryan Resar finished second in flight 4, and senior Nate Schalk was third in Flight 3. Nico Cimino had the fastest overall time for Minooka at that meet, finishing 10th in Flight 1 with a time of 16:13.
Cimino was Minooka’s top runner throughout the season. At the SPC Championship, he led Minooka to a 5th-place finish, and he and Resar earned all-conference honors.
After placing 3rd at the Lincoln-Way Central Regional, Minooka advanced to the Normal West Sectional. There, they finished 9th, two places away from qualifying for the state meet.
