In a season that ended on a high note, coach Lark McCarthy led the 1986-1987 girls basketball team to finish the regular season with three straight wins, one being a blowout victory for the girls beating Lisle, 63-32. The other two being close, hard fought battles, beating Evergreen Park, 52-46, and Westmont, 56-50. Senior team captain, Manette Chesharek, and junior team captain, Tracy LaLonde were both great leaders for their class, helping the team. The season was move up a couple weeks with games starting in November for the first time since the IHSA moved the state finals to February. Page researched by Kooper Fisher, 2025
