2020 Baseball

On Jan. 13, 2020, Atlanta Braves pitcher and 2010 Minooka graduate Mike Folytnewicz (back row, center in white hooded sweatshirt) visited members of the Minooka baseball team during a morning conditioning session.

Season Cancelled

The 2020 season was supposed to be the first with Minooka competing in the West Division of the Southwest Prairie Conference. Minooka would play three games against the others in the West and one game against the other conference members. Unfortunately, the season was initially put on hold on March 13 when Illinois Governor JB Pritzker ordered schools closed for two weeks because of the coronavirus pandemic. The order was then extended before later declaring school buildings would remain closed for the rest of the academic school year. On April 21, the IHSA officially cancelled all spring sports tournaments.
