Special Merit - Coach, Initiator of Hall of Fame

Summary
Norm Miller initiated the Minooka Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.  After pitching for the Illinois State Redbirds, he came to Minooka.  He was the head baseball coach at Minooka for 6 years, during which his team in 1962 became the first team ever in school history to reach the IHSA state finals in any sport.  The 1962 team played in a one-class system, and Minooka was by far the smallest team in the finals. Miller was an assistant high school coach for basketball.  He also coached basketball at Minooka Junior High.  Miller served on the Minooka Village Board as well.
