Season Summary
On Sept. 17, 2024, the Minooka varsity boys soccer team secured a defining 3-0 victory over rival Joliet Central, ending their winless streak after four ties and four losses.
Head coach Nate Spriggs’s halftime adjustments sparked a transformation, leading to standout performances by Andrew Calderon, who scored a goal and contributed an assist, and Fernando Bedolla, whose defensive efforts shut down Joliet’s counterattacks.
Calderon and Ethan Koranda later earned All-Conference honors for their exceptional contributions throughout the season, highlighting their consistency and impact.
This victory reinvigorated Minooka’s campaign and fueled their momentum toward regional competition, defining a season of growth and resilience. The team would end the regular season with three wins in a row over Plainfield South, Plainfield North, and Andrew.
