Season Summary
The 2025 varsity baseball dominated competition throughout the regular season.
Their 33 wins was the second most in school history. Twelve of those wins came by 10 runs or more.
On their way to becoming conference champs, they compiled a 14-1 record in the SPC.
They finished second in the WJOL tournament in the beginning of the year.
Throughout the season, Illinois State commit Brayden Zilis would have much success, winning the conference MVP and Pitcher of the Year awards. Minooka would have seven players named all-conference in total.
On April 21 against Oswego East, head coach Jeff Petrovic would win his 500th game for Minooka. He started as head coach at MCHS during the 2003-04 school year.
Minooka had high hopes going into the postseason. They beat Plainfield South in the first round of the regional. During the regional finals, No. 1 seed Minooka was upset by Bradley-Bourbonnais. Kooper Fisher of Minooka would score in the bottom of sixth thanks to a single from Brady Kozlowski. However, Bradley would score again the the top of the 7th and eventually win 2-1.
