The 1974 football team made history by finishing with a winning record, the first time Minooka had done so with a full varsity schedule since the program started in 1971. At the end of the regular season, they beat Plano in an NEC playoff game where the 4th-place team from the NEC South Division (Minooka) played the 4th-place team from the NEC North Division.
