SPC Record: 9-2
Final Game: Loss in sectional semifinals
Season Summary
Winning the regional championship was a big success for the 2025-26 boys soccer team, and they achieved it by taking down Bradley- Bourbonnais 4-0.
The road to the regional was an exciting one. Minooka had a school record 12 straight wins to start off their season (the previous record was 6) before losing to Plainfield Central in PKs after a seeming winning goal was called back by an official.
The boys finished second in conference with a 9-2 record. The boys had four all-conference players: seniors Andrew Calderon and Ethan Koranda, as well as juniors Nolan Skedel and Cayle Bomstad.
Calderon and Koranda were both named all-state by the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association. This was the first time Minooka had a boys all-state soccer player. Head coach Nate Spriggs was also named coach of the year for Section 10, and assistant coach Jeff Lundeen was named assistant coach of the year.
Overall on the season, they were 19-3. The 19 wins was the most in program history.
The successful season came to an end with a tough 2-1 loss in hard rain against Normal Community in the sectional semifinal.
