The members of the 2006 baseball team include (front row) Mike Smania, Eric Kapinus, Brian Shriner, Eric Vogrin; (second row) Austin Lehman, Alex Lindgren, Tim Ghilain, Ryan Bray, Matt Shwerha, Ryan Voitik; (third row) Tim Norman, Brett VanAsdlen, assistant coach Derrick Rapsky, head coach Jeff Petrovic, assistant coach Jim Lamping, Andrew Trepel, Glen Perinar; (fourth row) Ryan Jarka, Cole Tyrell, Tommy Cerven, Brett Winters, Tony Wellner, and Geoff Harvey.

Minooka brought home its first-ever state baseball trophy in 2006. The varsity squad finished 3rd in IHSA 2A State Finals. As conference champs, the continued to win the regional, sectional, and super-sectional before heading to the state finals at Elfstrom Stadium in Geneva. They dropped the semifinal game to Naperville Central, and the actual third-place game was canceled due to rain, so both Minooka and O'Fallon received third-place trophies.
