Season Summary

A comeback against Plainfield Central in the WJOL tournament set the tone early in the season for Minooka.  Junior Landon Currie hit an opposite field single  to give the team a walk-off win. 

Minooka would roll through the regular season.  After beating Oswego East on May 21, they took the SPC season title.

Once the postseason started, it was tough for the opposition's bats to keep up.  Minooka beat Bradley-Bourbonnais on the Boilermaker's home field 14-8 to take the opening game of regionals.

Three days later, they would see Plainfield Central again.  No comeback was necessary this time, as Minooka took the regional championship by a score of 11-1. 

Their bats would remain alive with first an 8-2 win over Normal Community, and then a 15-1 bombing of Edwardsville, which earned Minooka the Sectional title.

What would be their final game of the season came against Naperville Central in the super-sectional.  Minooka took a 2-1 lead into the 6th, but the Red Hawks would score 3 in the top of the inning and hold on to win. 

Minooka would finish the year in the Elite Eight of class 4A. Their 32 season wins would tie for the third most in school history.
