A broken curse. A sectional championship. And the longest postseason run in Minooka girls soccer history.  All defined the 2019 varsity soccer team.  After losing to Normal Community in Normal twice in sectionals over the two previous seasons, Minooka saw them early in regional play in 2019.  After beating Normal for the regional championship, they then beat Bradley-Bourbonnais in the opening round of sectionals.  In the sectional championship played in Bloomington against Edwardsville, the girls took 2 overtime periods before finally beating the Tigers for their first-ever sectional title.  In the supersectional game at Lewis University, Minooka took a 1-0 lead in to second half against a higher ranked Naperville North team before eventually losing to the Huskies 2-1. That spring, dugouts were built on the north part of Central Campus near the pond so more games could be played at that area.
