Summary
Manette Cheshareck was a three-sport athlete at Minooka. In 1987, her senior year, she was the IHSA Class 2A champion in the discus with a throw of 150'7". Earlier that season she set the state record at the sectional with a throw of 155'10" when she was sectional champ. She also won the sectional in shot put that year. In 1986, she finished 2nd in the state in discus, and she was 5th in 1984. Cheshareck was an all-conference athlete in track & field, basketball, and volleyball. After high school, she attended the University of Florida where she was a 2-time All-SEC performer. She later coached the throwers at the University of Louisville and Tulane University.
