Ring Pop 

Objectives:

I can demonstrate that I can draw a 3-dimensional shape that represents my ring pop

I can demonstrate that my multiple facets contain parallel lines

I can demonstrate that I understand how the highlight shows the light reflecting off the surface of my ring pop

I can demonstrate how to add both highlights and shadows to create the transparency of my ring pop

Vocabulary:

3-dimensional- having height, width, and depth

Facets- a small, flat surface

Highlights- an area that shows where the light is reflecting off the surface of the object

Parallel lines- lines that will always be the same distance apart; they are traveling in the same direction at the same rate of change

Shadows- the area that shows where the light is blocked from hitting the surface of an object OR if transparent, then the area where you can see another area through the object

Transparent- an area that allows more light to pass through it so it is more "see through"
