Form Robots
Objectives:
I will demonstrate an understanding of how to use forms to create a 3D drawing
I will demonstrate an understanding of how to shade 3D forms to show a light source
I will demonstrate an understanding of how to overlap parts of my drawing to create foreground and background
I will demonstrate an understanding of basic shape to form
Vocabulary:
Form- the three dimensional version of a shape (cube, pyramid, cone, rectangular prism, sphere, cylinder)
Light Source- showing where the area of light comes from
Overlapping-Â creating foreground and background by having one part of the drawing appear as if it goes in front of or behind another part
Shading-showing how light hits or is blocked on an object, the area that is closer to the light source is lighter than the area that curves away or is farther from the light source
Shape- a flat enclosed area such as a square, rectangle, triangle, circle, etc.
Three-Dimensional (3D)- having three dimensions such as height, width, and depth; showing that an object has depth
