Shoe Composition

Objectives:

I can demonstrate an understanding of composition and how to effectively use the entire space

I can demonstrate an understanding of proportion, size, and spacing

I can demonstrate that I can truly look at the details and effectively add them to my drawing

I can demonstrate an ability to draw from real life

I can demonstrate an understanding of contour

Vocabulary:

Composition- how and where you place things on your paper; making use of the entire space given

Contour Line- the outline of an object

Negative Space- the area around, within, or between objects; the area that is not the object

Positive Space- the area that is the object itself

Proportion- relation in size of parts to the whole

Size- how large or small an object is

Spacing- how much distance is between areas

Value- shows how light or dark an area is; usually accomplished by adding shading to a drawing
