Barn Hex

Objectives:

I can demonstrate that I can use a ruler to divide my paper into various repeated spaces

I can identify a Barn Hex

I understand the history of a Barn Hex

I can add color carefully while repeating the pattern in radial symmetry

Vocabulary:

Barn Hex- a decorative tradition dating back to the early 1800s among Pennsylvania Dutch farmers 

Radial Symmetry- a type of balance that rotates around a central point, it is repeated all the way around the central point

Repeated- when something (in this case an image) is created over and over again

Symmetry- a type of balance that is the same on both sides, it is a mirror image from one side of the symmetry line (axis line) to the other
