Name Elements

Objectives:

I can demonstrate my understanding of all 7 elements of Art through my work

I can demonstrate the ability to create my name in block or bubble letters

I can demonstrate creativity when choosing how to show each element in visual format

Vocabulary:

Color- the hue that is produced when light reflects off of an object

Elements of Art- the building blocks of an artwork.  What you will use to put together your piece.

Form- a 3-dimensional shape, they have volume and take up space

Line- a path of a point moving through space

Shape- 2 dimensional flat enclosed areas

Space- used to demonstrate how far back an object goes; it shows the depth of an object

Texture- the way a surface feels or how it looks like it should feel

Value- the lightness or darkness of a color
