Cityscape Prints

Objectives:

I can demonstrate the use of both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolor techniques.

I can demonstrate an understanding of both warm and cool colors.

I can demonstrate and apply  the printmaking process to print my city and its reflection.

Vocabulary:

Cool Colors- Colors that are on one half of the color wheel.  They remind us of things that are cold.  Blue, Green, and Violet

Printmaking- an artistic process where you transfer an image from one surface to another

Warm Colors- Colors that are on one half of the color wheel.  They remind us of things that are warm.  Red, Orange, and Yellow

Wet on Dry process- A technique when using watercolors where you wet the brush to load the paint with color but apply the paint on a dry paper

Wet on Wet process- A technique when using watercolors where you wet the brush to load the paint with color but apply the paint on a paper that you have already added water to
