Metal Leaves

Objectives:

I can demonstrate the ability to safely use metal as a medium by folding the edges to the back and flattening it out to prevent cuts

I can demonstrate the ability to draw from the back to create a relief in the front of my metal

I can demonstrate the ability to create texture through the drawing of lines within my leaves

I can clearly see the veins of my leaves

I can demonstrate the ability to create a good composition by using the entire space I was given

Vocabulary:

Composition- using the entire space given to you, where you put things on your project

Medium- the materials that you are working with, in this case, metal

Relief- a sculpture that is raised from a flat base

Tooling- the process of creating a low-relief sculpture; also known as "repousse" or "metal embossing"

Texture- an element of art that deals with showing how something would feel
