Objectives:

I can demonstrate an ability to create the look of birch trees by sliding cardboard across my paper

I can demonstrate an understanding of depth within my painting

I can demonstrate knowledge of fall colors

I can demonstrate an understanding of chromatic grays

Vocabulary:

Chromatic Grays- grays that are created through the use of color, usually by mixing equal parts of red and green

Composition- It can be thought of as the organization of the elements of art according to the principles of art; where you put things on your paper, using the entire space

Depth- showing how far back in terms of space something goes

Fall Colors- red, orange, yellow, green, and brown

Horizon Line- the line that goes across your paper that shows the separation of ground and sky

Overlapping- a way to show depth when one object appears to go in front of another object, when this happens you will not see all of the lines that make up the object in the back as they are "covered up" by the object in the front
