Dancing Skeletons
Objectives:
I can demonstrate that I can draw a skeleton showing scale/proportion.
I can demonstrate that I can add shading to show the transition from shape to form.
I can demonstrate that I can adjust the bones within the skeleton to give the impression of the skeleton dancing.
Challenge: Study a skeleton and create a more detailed version of the skeleton. This will allow you to add more highlights and shadows.
Vocabulary:
Form - Showing three dimension; width, length, depth; the 3D version of a shape (i.e. circle=sphere, square=cube, triangle=pyramid or cone, rectangle= rectangular prism or cylinder)
Movement- creating a sense of action within a work of art
Proportion/Scale - refers to relation in size; the size of an object in relation to another object or part.
Shading - showing levels of darkness in a drawing to create depth; showing where shadows and highlights touch an object

Option: Focus in on one very detailed area of the skeleton as if drawing for a medical journal.
