I can demonstrate the understanding of a value scale
I can demonstrate the ability to paint a value scale
I can demonstrate the ability to identify a light source and add a cast shadow
Vocabulary:
Cast Shadow- shows where the light is being blocked from hitting a ground or surface by an object; it is not a solid value but gets lighter and softer or less defined the farther it gets from the object
Ellipse- is a flattened circle, it generally shows the viewpoint of the top of an object as your eye is looking at it from the side. The higher your viewpoint is the more of the circle you would see making the ellipse fuller. As your viewpoint lowers, you see less of the circle making the ellipse thinner.
Form- a three-dimensional object that has height, width, and depth
Hue- another word for color
Light Source- showing where the light that is hitting an object to create shadows is coming from
Monochromatic- many values of one color
Shade- a hue mixed with black
Tint- a hue mixed with white
Value- the lightness or darkness of a color
