You can choose whether you would like to create a single pattern as the top photo on the far right shows or a double pattern as seen on the bottom image.

Interlocking- having parts of an image that fit together with no gaps

Pattern- repeating a unit of shape, form, or other element to create a consistent and regular image

Tessellation- a surface covered with a pattern of flat shapes that have no gaps or overlaps
