Line Self-Portrait Prints

Objectives:

I will demonstrate the ability to transfer an image of myself which is a self-portrait

I will demonstrate the ability to add yarn to the important lines that will convey the image of myself

I will demonstrate the ability to create a relief print

I will demonstrate the ability to use multiple prints to create a work of art

Vocabulary:

Printmaking- the process of transferring an image from one surface to another

Relief Print- creating a print from a raised surface. The areas that are raised, in this case, the yarn will create the print

Simplification- transferring only the most important lines to create an image; in this instance we will look for the lines that are most important to convey the image of your self-important
