3D Shapes: Form Drawing and Shading

I will demonstrate that I understand the difference between shape and form

I will demonstrate that I can draw a 3D form

I will demonstrate that I can add shading to enhance the look of my form

Form- the three dimensional version of a shape (cube, pyramid, cone, rectangular prism, sphere, cylinder); to create the form you add depth to the height and width of a shape

Light Source- showing where the area of light comes from

Shading-showing how light hits or is blocked on an object, the area that is closer to the light source is lighter than the area that curves away or is farther from the light source

Shape- a flat enclosed area such as a square, rectangle, triangle, circle, etc.; it has height and width

Three-Dimensional (3D)- having three dimensions such as height, width, and depth; showing that an object has depth

Shape to Form:

Circle-------------Sphere

Triangle----------Pyramid, Cone, or Triangular Prism

Square-----------Cube

Rectangle-------Cylinder, Box, or Rectangular Prism
