Objectives:

I can demonstrate the ability to use symmetry to create the shape of my pottery

I can demonstrate the ability to create repeated designs that layer and fill my pottery area

I can demonstrate the ability to use tints of brown, black, red, and orange to paint in my design

I can demonstrate the ability to add thin lines on top of my paint to further enhance the design in some of my repeated patterns

Vocabulary:

Hue- another name for color

Repetition- repeating an element over and over to create a pattern

Shade- adding black to a hue

Symmetry- it is the same on both sides; a mirror image of one line on the other

Tint- adding white to a hue
