Painted Color Blocks

Objectives:

I will demonstrate the ability to draw a cube showing a 3 dimensional form

I will demonstrate the ability to show value with color

I will demonstrate an understanding of tint and shade

I will demonstrate the ability to create three values of each color

Vocabulary:

Cube- the form of a square; it has the three dimensions of height, width, and depth

Form- the three dimensional version of a shape

Hue- another name for color

Shade- adding black to a hue to make it a darker value

Three-dimensional- a form that has height, width, and depth

Tint- adding white to a hue

Value- the lightness or darkness of a color
