Tagboard Artist Cubes

Objectives:

I can demonstrate that I understand shape vs. form

I can demonstrate that I can create the form of a cube

I can demonstrate that I have researched an artist of my choice

I can demonstrate that I understand the style of art that my artist creates by decorating each side in a way that reminds me of my artist.  That can be done through background, added details and color, or different font styles that would represent the work that my artist would commonly create.

I can demonstrate that I can share the information that I have gathered on my form in a clear way

• Your drawing of one of the artist's more famous works of art

• When was the artist born/died and where were they from

• The artistic style the artist is most known for (this is usually, but not always, an "ism"

• 2 Facts that you learned about that artist

• Why you chose that artist

Vocabulary:

Form- the three dimensional version of a shape (cube, pyramid, cone, rectangular prism, sphere, cylinder) 

Shape- a flat enclosed area such as a square, rectangle, triangle, circle, etc.
