I can create a flower from close up view demonstrating an understanding of space
I can use chalk pastels to add color using blended colors
I can demonstrate an understanding of how the use of color in close proximity can mimic the look of highlights and shadows

Example
Vocabulary:
Blended shading- creating a gradual transition of color or value
Close Up- our composition that shows a view that tightly frames an object or person; makes it looks as if you are viewing the object or person from a very close distance
Contour Line- it is really just an outline of the subject
Highlights- an area that shows how light is hitting an object
Shadows- an area that shows where light is not hitting an area
Space- an element of art that refers to the space around or within an object (we are doing a close up view that should fill the entire paper with the object)
