Aboriginal Leaves
Objectives:
I can demonstrate the ability to draw a leaf
I can demonstrate the understanding of symmetry or bilateral veins
I can demonstrate the ability to add dots that are the same sizes in rows to my work
I can recognize and mimic the qualities of Aboriginal Art
Vocabulary:
Aboriginal Art- Art that originated from Australia; in this case their dot paintings which used rows of dots evenly spaced to create their image
Bilateral Veins- veins that come from the center stem on one side then spaced before coming out on the other side; veins that come from the stem in an every other one pattern
Cool Colors- Colors that are located on one side of the color wheel; they remind us of things that are cold or cool to the touch; Blue, Violet, and Green
Symmetrical Veins- the same on both sides; a mirror image; when describing the veins of a leaf both veins come from the same spot in both directions
Warm Colors- Colors that are located on one side of the color wheel; they remind us of things that are hot or warm to the touch; Red, Orange, and Yellow
