Objectives:
I can demonstrate painting in the style of pointillism.
I can create an entire painting with many colors by only using red, yellow, blue, and green and dot placement
I can demonstrate that I can create shading and highlights by my placement of the dots.
I can make use of my entire paper by creating a good composition
Vocabulary:
Complementary colors- colors directly opposite each other on the color wheel
Highlight- an area of an object receiving more light
Hue- the color
Intensity- The brightness, or pureness of a color/hue. **The highest intensity is the color directly from the bottle**
Pointillism- A technique of painting in which a lot of tiny dots are combined and overlapped to form a composition.
Primary Colors- Red, Yellow, and Blue
Secondary Colors- Green, Orange, and Violet; colors that are created by mixing two primary colors together
Shadow- an area of an object receiving less light
Value- the lightness or darkness of a color
