Pointillism Insects
Objectives:
I can demonstrate an ability to create an outline of my insect.
I can demonstrate that I can use pointillism to add the outline to all parts of my insect.
I can demonstrate that I can use pointillism to show shadows and highlights on my insect.
I can demonstrate the ability to make use of my entire paper. Good composition
Vocabulary:
Contour Line- another name for an outline, this is the line that gives the subject its shape
Highlight- an area of an object receiving more light
Pointillism- a process by which you draw and add highlights & shadows using only dots. The closer the dots are together the darker the area is.
Outline- the outside line of an object; another name for the outline in this unit is the contour line
Shadow- an area of an object receiving less light
Stippling- the name of the technique that makes use of dots to create an image instead of drawing lines
