12 Part Color Wheel Sphere
Objectives:
I can demonstrate an understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors to create a 12 part color wheel

I can demonstrate the ability to create a paper sphere from paper strips
Vocabulary:
Color Wheel Order- the order in which the colors would be listed as it goes around the color wheel; (r)red, (r/o)red-orange, (o)orange, (y/o)yellow-orange, (y)yellow, (y/g)yellow-green, (g)green, (b/g)blue-green, (b)blue, (b/v)blue-violet, (v)violet, (r/v)red-violet, (then back to red)
Complementary/Contrasting Colors- Colors that are opposite of each other on the color wheel. They are complementary color sets. The sets are black & white, red & green, blue & orange, and yellow & violet.
Cool Colors- Colors found on half of the color wheel. They remind us things that are cool; they are blue, green, and violet.
Neutral- The colors that are not part of the actual color wheel. They are the absence of color, all colors together, or complementary colors mixed together. They are white, black, brown, and gray.
Primary- Three pigment color that are mixed to create all other colors. Red, Yellow, and Blue
Secondary- Colors formed when mixing two primary colors together. Orange, Green, and Violet
Sphere- a Three-dimensional form of a circle; a ball
Tertiary- Colors formed when mixing a primary and a secondary color together. That is why the color has two names (primary-secondary) such as yellow-green, yellow-orange, blue-green, blue-violet, red-violet, and red-orange
Warm colors- colors found on one half of the color wheel, they remind you of things that are warm; they are red, orange, and yellow
