Movement/Repetition Color Wheel

Objectives:

I can demonstrate the ability to show movement through repetition

I can demonstrate the ability to create a silhouette through the use of an outline

I can demonstrate the ability to paint a 12 part color wheel that includes primary, secondary, and tertiary colors

I will demonstrate the understanding of color wheel order

Vocabulary:

Color Wheel- A circular shape that organizes colors showing relationships between groups of colors

Movement- a principle of design that gives the impression of an action

Outline- the outside line of a subject

Primary Colors- Three pigment color that are mixed to create all other colors.  Red, Yellow, and Blue

Repetition- repeating an element, line, or shape

Secondary Colors- Colors formed when mixing two primary colors together.  Orange, Green, and Violet

Tertiary Colors- Colors formed when mixing a primary and a secondary color together.  That is why the color has two names (primary-secondary) such as yellow-green, yellow-orange, blue-green, blue-violet, red-violet, and red-orange
