Lego Drawing and Shading
Objectives:
I can demonstrate the ability to draw a lego in 3D
I can demonstrate the ability to draw a group of 3 or more legos in 3D
I can demonstrate the ability to create a 3D drawing showing height, width, and depth
I can demonstrate the ability to add highlights and shadows to my drawing to enhance the look of 3D
Vocabulary:
Two Point Perspective- linear perspective in which there are two perspective or vanishing points on one horizon; you are looking at the corner and then showing how each side heads toward their respective vanishing points.
3D- having height, width, and depth
Depth- how far back in a space something goes
Height- how tall something is
Highlights- an area where the light hits an object; it appears lighter than the other areas
Shadows- an area where the light is not touching the object as it is being blocked; it appears darker than the other areas
Width- how wide something is
