3D Origami Eye

Objectives:

I can follow sequential directions to create an origami form

I can create a drawing of a realistic eye (don't forget the highlight)

I can add color with oil pastels that mimics the look of radial lines in the iris

Vocabulary:

Origami- the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures

Oil Pastels- a tool that is used to add color; it contains a pigment with a non-drying oil with a wax binding agent

Radial Lines- lines that radiate or come from a central point

Highlight- an area that shows the reflection of light (because the eye has moisture the light bounces off the eye and reflects light

Iris- the colored part of the eye

Pupil- the black circle in the iris

Sclera- the white part of an eye
