4 Part Picasso

Objectives:

I can demonstrate knowledge of the artist Picasso and his works

I can demonstrate an understanding of Cubism

I can create a work of art that expresses my understanding of Cubism

I can show an understanding of viewpoint and how what I draw changes when looking at something from a different viewpoint

Vocabulary:

Cubism- a style of painting that emphasizes formal structure being reduced to geometrical shapes.  This may show several different viewpoints at the same time that are both independent but lend itself to the whole.

Three Dimensional- Something that shows length, width, and depth

Viewpoint- showing how something may look from someone standing in a particular spot; it changes when viewed from a different spot
